If you've seen some of my previous blog posts (I know it's been a little bit since the last one), then you'd know I was included in the most recent volume (34) of Studio Visit Magazine! My copies of the publication arrived last week, and let's just say, they're flawless.
Smooth, color-rich, and full of so many talented artists; it's a real treat to see my work included!
You can order your copy of Studio Visit here!
In some equally exciting news, I've just had work in two major regional exhibitions: one in the Newburyport Art Association's annual juried show, and two more at the Library Arts Center of Newport, NH - where I was chosen by judges as a "Selections" winner to showcase a larger body of work, alongside a few other regional artists, in February of 2017.
This week I've received notification of acceptance in a third regional exhibition, this time at 3S Artspace in Portsmouth, NH. I could not be more thrilled to be included. If you haven't been to 3S yet, go. Like right now, go. Or check their website for upcoming shows or performances. It's an amazing venue with a beautiful gallery and small performance venue where I've had the pleasure of seeing a couple shows in an otherwise unattainably intimate setting. But less about the venue, more about the show!
Juried by Christopher French, artist, critic, and social commentator, French has work in museum collections across the country, and has published with The Brooklyn Rail, ARTnews, Flash Art, Art Papers, and The Journal of Art, among others.
Being a relatively new venue, On The Map will be 3S's inaugural open call exhibition, and I'm so excited to have a piece represented there. A number of close friends have been included too, and it will be so fun to exhibit beside them again!
On The Map will open with a reception Friday, August 5 from 5-8 pm, and will remain on view through September 3.
